New Orleans: Revelry
I'm really flesh and blood --
more than flesh and blood;
perhaps by many now:
pursuing a vision in their heads
(after the great upheaval, 2005).
But, really, really none of it
responsible for my majesty;
I changed with the weather (you
you could say), it is rumored, is a
Eccentric dove, descending
beyond the city of love:
the city that is not lostHope.
I am a city of spirit and jazz;
unbroken, giving, obstinate;
just walk on my bourbon
Street and behold, I stand tall,
no longer on my knees by God
Mercy! ...
Commentary # 1050 12/20/05 NOTE: After the big hurricane hit New Orleans, Katrina, in 2005, which shocked the world because it almost the entire city wiped off the map compared to Pompeii, but not with fire, But with water, it is ready toNew Year's Eve to celebrate their return, one might say, as we move from 2005 to 2006, in less than 36-hours of work on this poem, and note: It is the world's doors open again. And I had the time and resources to celebrate with her in New Orleans, I would, as I had in 2003, it allows the home to a unique city, one just after Venice and Amsterdam (which I was); Happy New Year.
